Formed deep within the earth's crust, Granite is an intrusive igneous rock that lies as deep as 50km below the surface. Its grainy structure and strength comes from the many crystalline structures which form as magma slowly cools and is responsible for its heat resistant properties. At Tekno Granite we excavate and process this marvellous stone bringing both function and grandeur to businesses and homes around the world.

The first step in processing our granite is the quarry. It is at this stage where we must remove the layers of earth and vegetation so as to expose the stone. Once this is achieved, the deposits are cut into blocks using the latest in heavy machinery such as diamond-wire cutters, drills and hydraulic splitters. These blocks of 'raw' stone are then loaded onto transport vehicles and taken to our factory where the magic of this natural stone is revealed for the world to enjoy.
